Even with new, healing piercings you will suffer the smell. If you take a shower, allow the water to run over your ears. Hold your hair back and allow the water to just flow.

My morning routine of cleaning my face consists of me removing my jewelry and cleaning it. With the towel I used on my face I will rinse it clean and pat my lobes. Use Jojoba oil on my lobes and cleaned jewelry, insert, and go about my day. Just clean your stretched ears and jewelry.

Now do some research on different organic materials. Some are better than others when it comes to keeping down the smell. But again your stretched ears are not going to be just reeking and flowing with stench.

Most people can go between 2g 6mm — 00g 10mm and expect their ears to revert back to a normal piercing after a few months of healing.

If you want don't want stretched ears to be a permanent part of your look stay in that smaller 6mmmm range and be sure to stretch slowly and never skip sizes. The truth is that most stretched ears will shrink at least a little if you remove your jewellery, but most will not go back to their unstretched gauge. Wash your newly stretched piercing twice daily with glycerin soap.

Just to moist the pierced area, you can even use some antibacterial ointment recommended by your piercing artist and do a little massage around the the rim of the gauge. Another option would be to take you plug out for an hour or so to let it breathe, perhaps after the cleaning process.
